BOB is always evolving and we are trying something new. A blog post! This time it’s about John Hughs movies. These movies were iconic in the 80s and all had great music featured in them. They all had a big song. So here are our Top 5 picks! Let us know how we did on Twitter @bobeatspod and if you have any faves we missed. #BOBLife
Breakfast Club – Don’t You (Forget About Me)
Who knew a movie about kids in detention on a Saturday could be so iconic? And the closing scene with this song just seal the movie on the perfect note. A brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal.
Pretty In Pink – If You Leave
It still bothers me (Mandy) that Andie wanted so bad to be with the jerky popular guy. But I get it.
Sixteen Candles – If You Were Here
Again, the movie closes with a perfect song to play in a great ending scene. And this scene has been recreated in many other movies (Happy Death Day) because it’s so iconic. (Am I saying iconic too much?)
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – Twist and Shout
Who hasn’t skipped school? Well I don’t think our day off adventures were quite like the ones Ferris had. I mean, who actually crashes a parade?
Weird Science – Weird Science
Weird Science was a great tv show as well, and I was a big fan of it. The movie was good too. Who doesn’t love nerds building their own sexbot…err…I mean woman friend?
